For years I have heard the mantra “No impact on tourism” after some major event from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and other Thai Government Officials but it looks like now the mantra will be changed to “No Threat To Thai Tourism”. The “No threat to Thai tourism” comes on the heels of Myanmar (formerly Burma) releasing Aung Suu Kyi, opening its borders to the world, and the United States State Department (Hillary Clinton) visiting there recently.
